I was born in Colaba south Bombay India in the Mani Wadia – Shroff Family, The Mani Wadias are Hereditary Master Builders, ship owners , Bankers and Marine Services Providers , My Father Pirojsha Hormusji Shroff was a Master of Arts and Bachelor of commerce , His father Hormusji Sorabji Shroff the Xth Mani Wadia Built all the Oil Tank Silos as a Manager of Burmah Shell in Bombay and Imperial India, Hormusji also owned shares in various vessels and owned marble Quarries, quiet a few Churches were supplied Marble at low cost from our Quarries, My Paternal Grandmother is Bai Pirojbai H .S Shroff who came from the family of Ancient Landlords The Paghriwallas who owned land since the time of the Portuguese.

My Maternal Grandfather Mr.Jamshedji Nusserwanji Mehta was a Brilliant engineer who built Ice factories all over British India he came from a Family of “Patels” or Lords.

My Maternal Grandmother is Bai Navajbai Mehta Born Bai Navajbai Jivasha Daughter of Thakur or Lord of 12 villages around Gandevi, Gir forest area in Gujarat.

My Family ancestor's came from Persia 1377 years ago and are Zoroastrian Pretenders to the Throne of Iran as we are descendants of Yazdegard Shehriyar ‘s Son Crown Prince Piruz The Last Zoroastrian King of Kings of Iran ,hence in my family the Name Piruz or Piroj shah is given to eldest son.

My Wife Zarina is also of Parsi Parentage she is an Executive director finance in all my companies which own Tug and Anchor handling towing vessels she is very great Honest and caring Professional I. C . W.A , Master of Commerce , Master of Law , she works in our offices and helps with fundraising and with various charitable causes , she is presently working on our joint her life's mission to open Villages shelters for mentally challenged children and adults & care centers for the aged , she helps me raise funds for various schools, colleges, hospital, clinics.

I sailed as a Chief Engineer for 12 years on various marine Vlcc tankers and Bulk carriers , offshore supply vessels and then began teaching LPG and Chemical tanker safety in Nautical college in Bombay.

I started the Sea worthy shipping Services group & Growmor Impex Pvt Ltd ( ISO 9001 -2000 ) Marine and manpower suppliers in year 1996 – 97 & simultaneously built the first and only houseboat in Bombay , this Boat had 132 articles on her in various news papers, I have also assisted with various towage and salvage jobs saving quite a few lives at sea.
