Jews, Christians, and Muslims all lived in medieval Spain, and have been described as a brilliant model of tolerance and inter-faith cooperation.
Proof of this is that, according to Yitzhak Baer, the Jews looked on the Castile of king Alfonso X the Wise as something " like the spiritual home of all Judaism ". 1

Dr. Dalia Rachel Steiner was born in Jerusalem, Israel in 1949 and is a second generation of peacemakers.

Her parents both sacrificed their lives for peace by joining the British alliance forces to free Europe from the German regime during world war second.

Her father Alexander Beck served as a British soldier in Africa, and on the way to Greece he was captured together with other British soldiers by the German army and held in Germany as a prisoner of war for 4 years. Her mother Anna served in the ATS British women's troops in Egypt and Italy for 5 years.

The values of Education, humanitarianism, love of God and people, and fighting for equality and human rights were instilled in Dr. Steiner by her parent's sacrifice.

Dr. Steiner received a doctorate degree in Political sciences (signed by Ms. Madeleine Albright, Secretary of state USA in 1999).

Between 1971-2004 Dr. Steiner worked as Journalist, Editor and a Senior TV producer for channel 1 - IBA. On 2004 she retired from a long and a very successful career of 35 years.

Dr. Steiner was awarded "Ambassador for Peace" in 2001, recognized by the United Nations. She was Awarded this honor for being "an individual whose life exemplifies the idea of living for the sake of others, and who dedicated themselves to practices which promote the founding idea of universal moral values, international harmony renewal of Unites Nations….and the establishment of culture of peace, transcending racial, national and religious barriers, the "ambassador for Peace" contributed to the fulfillment of the hope of all ages, an unified world of peace…" (from the "Ambassador for Peace Award" for 2001).

In November 2004, she received the Award "Crown of Peace", recognized by the United Nations, for a "lifelong dedication and accomplishment in public services, peace building and leadership".

Since the year 2000 Dr. Steiner is a member of many women's and peace organizations world wide.

In 2003, Dr. Dalia Steiner founded the world WICO org. with 80 chapters in five continents, and she is its International President till now.

WICO org. strands for "Culture of Peace, Non-Violence, and Empowerment of Women" NGO (Non-profit) WICO is waiting for approval as an ECOSOC Org. by the United Nations.

The organization was founded in Jerusalem, Israel by Dr. Dalia Steiner, "Ambassador for Peace", and in Oklahoma city, Oklahoma USA by Rev. Marilyn Kotulek - "International White Eagle Ministries Inc" who was appointed by Dr. Steiner for WICO USA. (In 2003)

The organization was founded due to similar fates of the two cities and their civilians who witnessed terror attacks and suffered damage to property, death and loss of loved ones.

On October 2001, following the events of 9/11, declared the United Nations that the first decade of the 21st century will be dedicated for the advancement of Peace and non-violence culture.

Eight Nobel Prize laureates headed by the Dali Lama, Rev. Desmond Tutu and Jody Williams – signed a joint declaration calling upon the governments and people of the world to take real steps towards developing this ideal and bringing forth its realization.

The organization goal is to work for the benefit of men, women and children all over the world without regard for ethnicity or religion. To protect their lives and rights. To improve their quality of life and to advance their working knowledge in the fields of General Education, Professional Education and in developing a Culture for Peace. To build "The National Peace Centers and The High Institutes for Peace and Non-Violence Studies". To prevent violence, injustice evolving from discrimination and social inequality

Dr. Steiner's way of life is dedicated to International Peace with an obligation to the future for a better world as her heritage and roots goes through thousands years of History starting in the Kingdom of King David, King of Israel, In Spain at Queen Isabella's time, and during 2000 years of Diaspora, (Still has relatives in Seville, Spain).
